ESIR

Interventional Radiology

Our program offers Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) to up to 2 interested residents, who are selected in the spring of their R2 year. These residents are then able to complete the Independent IR Residency in 1 additional year beyond completion of the Diagnostic Radiology residency program. An additional 1 or 2 candidates can be selected for the Independent IR Residency (2 years) through the usual match process. More information can be found at the IR Fellowship page. Please see the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) website for more information about ESIR and the independent IR residency.
