Visiting Professor: Dr. Gautham Reddy

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Gautham Reddy, who will present “MRI and CT of Myocardial, Pericardial, and Valvular Disease” at noon conference on Thursday, May 5, as part of the virtual visiting professor series.

Gautham Reddy, MD, MPH, FACR is a Professor of Radiology, the Vice Chair for Academic Affairs & Faculty Development, and the Director of Medical Student Education & Advising in the Department of Radiology at the University of Washington. He is also the Vice Chair of the Faculty Senate, leading 6000 colleagues at UW and serves as the departmental Vice Chair for Education and Director of Thoracic Imaging at UW Medicine.

Dr. Reddy graduated from Harvard University and George Washington University School of Medicine and received postgraduate training at the University of Southern California, Thomas Jefferson University, and the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Reddy has been named an RSNA Scholar, a Fellow of the American College of Radiology, Fellow of the North American Society for Cardiovascular Imaging, and a Fellow of the Society for Computed Body Tomography. He has received the ABR Lifetime Service Award, the Achievement Award of the Alliance of Clinician-educators in Radiology, and six departmental, university, and national awards for teaching and mentoring students, residents, and practicing physicians.

Dr. Reddy’s research has focused on cardiovascular imaging, including MRI assessment of physiology in congenital and acquired heart disease. He has co-authored approximately 100 articles and book chapters, three books, and an educational CD, and has presented at more than 200 international, national, and regional conferences.
